Thanks for all the entertainment you’ve given us over the years, almost got us a world cup too. It’s a sad thing that you could not go out in style ‘Prince of Calcutta’; but your cricket shall surely be remembered. Which Indian can ever forget the shirt-scene on the balcony of Lords with you mouthing the forbidden word at the goras. Images like that remind us that cricket still has some passion and intensity to it, and is not just about ads and corporate sell-outs. Surely, one half of perhaps the world’s best opening pair is riding into the sunset !!!
